Collection morning

Get your tree ready in two minutes

  • Strip it bare

Lights, tinsel, ornaments and hooks off. Even one hook can jam a woodchipper.

  • Lose the stand

Take it out of the pot, stand or water base.

  • Check your size

Tell your collector if it's over 6ft so they bring the right truck.

  • Out by 7am

Leave it at the curb or the end of the driveway, not blocking the sidewalk.

Questions

Good to know

How does CollectMyChristmasTree work?
Search your ZIP code, city or town to see local collectors who cover your area. Compare their prices and dates, then get in touch by text, phone, WhatsApp or email. Where you see “Book online”, you can pick a day and send all your details in under a minute.
How much does Christmas tree pickup cost?
Each collector sets their own prices, shown on their listing, with prices for trees up to 6ft, 6 to 8ft and over 8ft.
When do pickups happen?
Most collectors work from the day after Christmas into mid-January. Each listing shows the collector's dates. Getting in touch early gives you the best choice of days.
Where should I leave my tree?
Somewhere easy to reach, usually the curb or the end of your driveway, without blocking the sidewalk. If it's anywhere tricky, add a note when you book or mention it in your message.
Do I need to be home?
Usually not, as long as the tree is outside and easy to reach. Check with your collector if you'd like them to take it from inside.
Do I need to remove the decorations?
Yes. Please remove all lights, tinsel, ornaments and hooks, and take the tree out of its stand. Don't put it in a plastic tree bag.
Is there a size limit?
Most collectors take trees of all sizes. Each listing shows prices for trees up to 6ft, 6 to 8ft and over 8ft, and says if a collector doesn't take very large trees.
What happens to my tree afterwards?
Real trees are usually chipped into mulch or composted. Ask your collector how they dispose of trees if you'd like to know more.
Do you collect artificial trees?
No, this service is for real Christmas trees only.
Can businesses use it too?
Yes. Many collectors also pick up from offices, stores, restaurants and schools. Just mention how many trees you have when you get in touch.
What if I need to change or cancel?
Get back in touch with your collector the same way you contacted them. If you booked online, quote your CMT reference.
